Film making job is attributed to various responsibilities and qualities. Responsibilities of making his film a successful venture rests upon the sturdy shoulders of its director. Be it a critically hailed or commercially acclaimed venture the director is held with a wise chunk of credibility. Leadership is one of the main tools of various qualities a director needs to possess. A director, whether be of a feature, a documentary, a mega serial, a short film or an advertisement program, needs to very minutely understand each and every aspect of his project. A good director to make his vision get implemented needs to have a fair knowledge about acting, cinematography, editing, art direction, costume, make- up and other departments. A director might consult the director of photography for the shots he wants to take. He may go in touch with the editor to consult upon his requirements. He may consult the art director, the scriptwriter, the make- up artist and every technicians and artist involved in order to get his desired result. Keeping all the aesthetics and technical provisions in mind he also holds the responsibility to please the producer of his film by making the project a commercial success.
